Firelord takes the offensive against Silver Surfer!

The Silver Surfer is under attack by Firelord. The Surfer has recently broken the control over him by the Goddess (as seen in Infinity Crusade #3). Firelord must now destroy him since he is an infidel. The Surfer is mightier, but Firelord still proves resilient. He almost defeats the Surfer, who wonders if he should just give up.

Memories of his beloved Shalla Bal make him reconsider this. He defeats Firelord, making sure none of his injuries are fatal. He then races towards Earth to warn the heroes there of Goddess' upcoming assualt. But he is being watched by an old foe, Thanos, who has plans for the Surfer's assistance.
